ABOUT OUR FARM
The Hand Hampshires flock was established in 1989 with foundation ewes (Laverne & Shirley) from Jerry and June Fitch in Stillwater, Oklahoma. We have improved the flock through genetic additions from the Heggemeier, Fitch, Nichols and Rikow flocks. We are also using leading artificial insemination and embryo transfer techniques for flock improvement. The flock is white pedigreed and has been codon tested for scrapies resistance.

The Hand Hampshires ewe flock is an elite group of 20 ewes selected for growth, size and reproductive traits. Recently, we have competed at Wisconsin and Missouri State Fairs along with the North American International Livestock Exposition with the help of Joyce Burnam and Ken Kuykendahl. We have previously shown at the Big E and sold sheep at the Top of the Rockies and Oklahoma Black & White sales.
